We buy Airstream motorhomes and towables in Greater Houston: Classic, Flying Cloud, Bambi and more. Any year or condition, free pickup, payoff handled.

RV keys, a paperwork folder and a phone with photos on a picnic table at a Texas RV park

Selling your Airstream in Houston starts with identifying what you own, whether it is a Classic or Flying Cloud travel trailer, a compact Bambi, an Interstate camper van or an older motorhome. We buy Airstream towables and motorhomes directly from owners across Greater Houston, considering current and discontinued lines, running or non-running units, and RVs that are paid off or still have a loan.

Cash For RV is an independent Houston buyer, not an Airstream dealer, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by Airstream or its parent company, THOR Industries, Inc. Send your RV’s details and photos for a cash offer, often the same day. We consider every Airstream offered to us, although some units may not be a fit.

Selling your Airstream in Houston, from trailers to motorhomes

Airstream’s lineup includes travel trailers, toy haulers, Class A and Class C motorhomes, and Class B camper vans. A riveted-aluminum trailer needs a different review from a motorized unit. Our approach to buying your travel trailer focuses on the trailer’s body, interior, systems and towing components rather than engine mileage.

For motorized models, tell us which family you own. The current Interstate uses a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis, while Rangeline uses a RAM ProMaster 3500 chassis. Atlas uses a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 4500 cab chassis and is marketed by Airstream as Class B+. Our Houston camper-van buying page explains more about selling a van-based RV.

We also consider older and discontinued Airstreams. The Land Yacht name appeared on both travel trailers and Class A motorhomes, so include photos and identify the RV type rather than relying on the name alone.

What shapes your Airstream cash offer

Whether you want to sell an Airstream Classic or a smaller trailer, we start with its model line and tier, year, floorplan, equipment and overall condition. Tell us whether your particular unit has slide-outs and whether they operate. On motorhomes and camper vans, we also review the engine, chassis, miles and generator hours, if equipped.

Airstream’s aluminum trailers use semi-monocoque construction, with aluminum skin stretched and riveted to the frame. Clear roof and sidewall photos help us assess dents, visible damage and previous work. Water intrusion, interior damage, tire condition and running gear also affect the offer, even when the exterior looks clean.

Houston heat, sun and humidity make seal condition, weathered surfaces, musty odors and moisture staining worth documenting. Disclose heavy-rain leaks, flood exposure or storm damage rather than trying to hide them. Our guide to what affects an RV cash offer explains how condition and other factors enter the review.

Details and photos to gather before contacting us

You do not need a polished listing to request cash for your Airstream RV. Gather the information you already have from the title, registration, purchase documents or other RV paperwork. If the floorplan or model line is unclear, send photos of the identification labels and tell us what you know.

Include damage alongside the best-looking areas. An accurate description helps us make a useful offer before visiting, and reduces the chance of a surprise during the in-person look.

  • Model year, model line, floorplan and VIN.
  • Exterior photos of every side, the roof where safely accessible, and visible damage.
  • Interior photos showing floors, ceilings, furnishings and signs of moisture.
  • Known system problems, tire condition and whether the RV runs or can be towed.
  • Motorhome mileage, generator hours if equipped, loan status and current location.

How your offer, inspection and payment work

Start with our online cash-offer form, a phone call or a text. We review the information and give you a cash offer, often the same day. There is no obligation to accept, and you do not need to prepare the RV for repeated buyer showings.

Next, we arrange a quick in-person look wherever the Airstream is in Greater Houston. If its condition matches your description, the offer stands. If we discover something significant that was not disclosed, we explain what we found and why the number changes. You can walk away.

At signing, we pay by cashier’s check, bank transfer or cash, handle the title paperwork and any lender payoff, then tow or drive the RV away at no cost. There are no fees or commissions deducted from your offer.

Selling an Airstream with a loan or title issue

An outstanding loan does not automatically prevent a sale. We can pay your lender directly, and you receive any equity. If the payoff exceeds our offer, you must cover the difference at closing. We do not make loans. Review our page on selling an RV you still owe money on, and confirm payoff requirements with your lender.

Texas lienholders may hold titles electronically through the ELT program. A lienholder must release a lien within 10 days of receiving payoff, but that does not promise a specific closing date. Tell us early if the title is missing or lists someone else as owner.

For a lost Texas title, a certified copy is requested from TxDMV using Form VTR-34. Travel trailers over 4,000 pounds gross weight must be titled; those at or below that weight need registration, with a title optional. Confirm your documentation with TxDMV or your county tax office, and consult an attorney for estate or ownership questions.

Older, damaged or parked Airstreams, with local pickup

Discontinued does not mean excluded. We consider Safari trailers, molded-fiberglass Nest trailers and PanAmerica toy haulers, along with other older Airstreams. You can read more about selling an older RV in Houston if yours has been parked for years or needs substantial work.

Clean, worn, damaged, flood-damaged, non-running and end-of-life units are all considered. Tell us about flat tires, missing wheels, access restrictions or anything that could complicate removal. Some units may not fit, and we will say so honestly.

Pickup is available at homes, storage lots, RV parks and repair shops throughout Harris, Fort Bend, Montgomery, Brazoria, Galveston, Waller and Chambers counties. Our Greater Houston service area is local only. You do not have to bring the Airstream to us.

A direct sale compared with a trade-in or private listing

A dealer trade-in ties the value of your Airstream to another purchase. That may suit an owner replacing an RV, but we only buy RVs and do not take trade-ins toward another unit. A direct sale lets you sell without choosing a replacement.

A private listing gives you control over your asking price and may produce a higher selling price, but it also means answering inquiries, arranging viewings and coordinating payment, paperwork and removal. Buyers may ask detailed questions about the trailer body or motorhome chassis.

As an Airstream RV buyer in Houston, we offer a different route: one offer, an in-person review and pickup handled by us. Compare the amount you would receive, the work involved and your timing before deciding.

Selling a Airstream: common questions

Do I need to polish my aluminum Airstream before requesting an offer?

No. You can send photos of the Airstream as it sits, without polishing it or preparing it for a listing. We need a clear view of its actual condition, including dents, staining and previous repairs. Describe anything photos do not show well. Cosmetic preparation does not replace information about leaks, systems or towing condition.

Can you assess a Land Yacht if I do not know whether the paperwork identifies its type correctly?

Start by telling us whether it has its own engine or is pulled by another vehicle, then send exterior photos, the VIN and available paperwork. Airstream used Land Yacht for both travel trailers and Class A motorhomes. We can review what you provide, but ownership-document discrepancies should be confirmed with TxDMV or your county tax office.

Will a custom interior keep you from buying my Airstream?

A custom interior does not automatically rule out a purchase. Send photos showing the changes and describe what was removed, added or left unfinished. Include any available work records and known problems. We review the individual RV rather than assuming modifications increase or decrease its value, and some units may not be a fit.

Can I sell an Airstream camper van that will not start at a storage lot?

Yes, we consider non-running Airstream camper vans at storage lots within Greater Houston. Tell us the model, known mechanical issues, tire condition and any gate or access restrictions. We review the RV before committing to a purchase. If we agree to buy it, we arrange removal at no cost to you.

Can I request an offer while I am still making payments on my Flying Cloud?

Yes. Share the trailer’s details, photos and loan status so we can review it. You do not have to pay off the loan before requesting an offer. If you accept, we can pay the lender directly; you receive any equity or cover any shortfall at closing. Confirm the payoff amount and release requirements with your lender.
